Vassilen was born on August 22, 1968 in Sofia (Bulgaria). He graduated from Warsaw School of Economics as a Master of Economics and has 15 years of experience in sales and distribution management, especially in soft drinks, beer industry and alcohol beverages; in the recent years - on management positions (general management and commercial/ marketing/sales/trade marketing) of big enterprises (more than 1000 employees & revenue of 600 mln euro); experience in multinational environment managed teams and projects in a different countries including: Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia.
Started his professional career in HL DISPLAY POLSKA Sp. z o.o. (Warsaw) as a Sales Manager. In the first year of business activities HL DISPLAY POLSKA achieved break-even point, tripped turnover in the next year. From 1996 till 1997 he worked as a sales manager in SZD „DROSED” S.A. – one of the leading manufacturer of poultry products. In 2001 he moved to Russia, where he was appointed a Managing Director of Dom Handlowy Megapack. Here he was responsible for the sales and distribution of the branded portfolio of Magapack – joint venture between Hoop SA and Megapack – soft drinks and RTD alcohol drinks. From 1997 till 2004 he was also a sales director of HOOP S.A.(Warsaw). In 2004 he became a member of the board of directors in Heineken Slovensko AS. In 2006 he held office as a Sales & Distribution Manager C&EE in Heineken C&EE Menagement GmbH, Vienna. In 2009 he was appointed a General Manager at HOOP Polska Sp. z o.o., member Kofola SA group. From 2010 till 2012 he worked as a Commercial Director of CEDC (Central European Distribution Corporation). Since September 1,2012 works as a Managing Director of“Heineken Breweries FCJSC”, Belarus.
He speaks Bulgarian, Polish, English, Russian, Czech and Slovak languages.
